First of all, In this type of Beauty Photography photoshoot, we aim to photograph a woman in an ordinary enviroment. Possibly in natural light. Moreover, the surroundings we are looking tor are ordinary. Local parks, interestingly structured buildings. Or simple, eye-catching elements of scenery in the backround. Other great options would be ambient rooms. The likes of local coffee shops/moody libraries/unique places. Above all no need for any kind of lighting equipment, modern studio, expensive gear for that matter. In contrast, light reflector may be used, from time to time, to enhance the beauty of the Model. I think a hand-made or found on location dream-catchers are perfect. The idea is to make the frames more interesting visually.
Moreover, the Make-up Artist would apply a makeup of your choice, prior shooting, on request. Obviously, we would need to arrange this in adavance to allow preparation. A lovely addition that I would love to throw in is cup of tea/coffe or a glass of bianca. These are very important factors of the beauty photography photoshoot, to unable us achieving a vibrant and enjoable atmosphere. And in the end result, create a strong selection of portraits that would reflect the personality of the photographed Pesrona. Outfits/dresses/clothing/accesorries would be personal choice since comfort and preferance come first.
I arranged this make-over photoshoot to take place one evening in May. In this particular photoshoot, Airida Kryževičiūtė, local, talented make-up Artist was assisting with the make-over. Timescale was extremely crucial, so we tried to be very efficient and efective in a short space of time. Not forgetting the fun bit, of course. After a well-handled transformation, we strolled up to a very close-by park, usually unattended at this time of day. What we found there, was a number of interesting backgrounds. To start off, a rough/scribbled over doors which added a bit of character to the photshoot. Another promising scenery was a set of beautifully blossoming big chunky trees that complimented the delicate beauty . The red brick wall was also a uniqe backdrop, which enriched the mood and nature of the photoshoot.
The selection can be viewed now. Enjoy!
